Brief description: An evergreen shrub to a small tree. Leaves are leathery, ovate, simple, opposite, entire, glandular beneath, margins entire. Flowers are perfect, white, fragrant, in axillary or terminal clusters. Fruits are an ovoid drupe.
Campus data: Very rare on campus. One cultivated tree encountered.
