Coreopsis rosea 'Tahitian Sunset' PP24134

Common Name: Tickseed

With blossoms in colors reminiscent of a Tahitian sunset, this extremely floriferous Coreopsis produces a shower of watermelon red blossoms with a golden orange blush towards the orange center.  The unusual blend of colors is a rainbow of tropical fruity colors.

We were incredibly impressed with the bloom power of this variety, as it flowered from early summer into mid-fall in our trials.  The flowers almost completely covered the short clump of green, threadleaf foliage.

Use this plant as you would plant colorful annuals to add bright spots of summer-long color to containers and flower borders.

This species is rhizomatous and slowly spreads like a groundcover. It combines nicely with many other perennials in borders, containers, or rock gardens. They also make wonderful cut flowers.
