The photo above shows the inflorescence of narrow-leaved cotton-grass (and arachnid friend) as seen along the Willard Springs Trail in Conboy Lake NWR...........June 21, 2008. Although hard to see, the tip of a bract can seen above the top of the uppermost spikelet of the inflorescence. Note also the spider legs!.
