Iris ensata 'Iso no nami'
11th June 2008
A very simple shaped purple flower. Raised by T. H. Chivers around 1911. The name means "waves on the beach".
The AIS register description says;
Cerulean-blue on a grey lilac, flaked and speckled, large yellow blotches radiating out in graceful lines, petaloid stigmas, violet shaded grey, six petals.
Clearly my plant is wrong.
