Iris 'Coal Seams'

Common Name: Tall Bearded Iris

With flowers nearly as black as coal, this outstanding new large flowered iris will be the focal point of the garden when in bloom in midseason.

Its very large flowers have thick, velvety, ruffled petals that glimmer in the summer sun. Only a tiny bit of white shows near the signal of this extremely dark purplish black iris. Incredible!

No garden would be complete without Tall Bearded Irises. Though they have been grown for decades, new and improved hybrids continue to be developed every year and fabulous color combinations have been achieved. The Tall Beardeds bloom after the Dwarf Irises but before the Japanese and Siberian Irises. They are wonderful accent plants for late spring gardens.
