Lithodora diffusa 'Grace Ward'

Common Name: Lithodora

An ideal plant for rock gardens, slopes, and cascading over retaining walls, this sun loving alpine forms a low, sprawling mat of dark green, evergreen, needle-like foliage.  As it ages, the long, prostrate stems become woody but respond very well to pruning after the flowering cycle is over.

A rare color for perennials, brilliant gentian blue blossoms which attract bees dot the foliage in late spring (earlier in warmer climates) and continue to reappear sporadically through the end of summer.
