Sedum forsterianum ssp. elegans 'Silver Stone'

Common Name: Forster's Stonecrop, Rock Stonecrop

If you’re looking for a very low maintenance, durable groundcover for sunny, dry areas, this is it!  Similar to ‘Angelina’ in foliage and habit, ‘Silver Stone’ forms a low, tight clump of blue-green, needle-like, evergreen foliage.  In cooler months, the leaves may become tipped with pinkish purple.

Upright flower stems are topped with corymbs of starry yellow blossoms from early to late summer.

Low, spreading sedums form a solid mat of foliage which is excellent for covering slopes or can be planted as a groundcover in sunny, dry areas. They are extremely drought tolerant and many are evergreen. These are terrific low-maintenance plants that always look their best.
