Carthamus pinnatus Desf. / Syn. Carthamus pinnatus ssp. pinnatus, Carduncellus pinnatus (Desf.) DC., Perennial plant with rhizome, stemless or short-stemmed, with spiny leaves in a tight rosette. The leaves measure from 10 to 30 cm and are pennate with oval segments with edges provided with small spines., Life Form: Ch, Flowering in: Mar- Apr,   Vern: Gaamole , Grane-Ejedian, Phytochoria: MED, The native range of this species is France, Sicilia, Malta, N. Africa., Notes: Wild in Libya.
