Description
An elegant plant with long racemes of small white flowers with purple pedicels, extremely fragrant – good to enjoy it planted close to a sitting area;) The purple foliage is also very handsome and usually pests free.
There are many cultivars on the market, all selections from the Atropupurea group.
A favorite, carefree plant for the shade garden.
Germination: best if sown in late summer/early fall; germination may happen in the second year after sowing.
