This BMW 3.0 CSL got away, but there are more like it here.

This 1972 BMW 3.0 CSL is one of 1,265 homologation specials built between 1971 and 1975, and it is one of 429 left-hand-drive examples powered by a fuel-injected 3.0L inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. It was sold new in Germany and later spent time in Sweden, where it was refurbished prior to being imported to the US. It was acquired by the selling dealer in 2022, reportedly from BMW collector Peter Gleeson. The car is finished in gold over black upholstery, and it features a front air dam, black side stripes, 14″ Alpina wheels, Bilstein shocks, Scheel front bucket seats, power-operated rear windows, and a Blaupunkt cassette radio. This 3.0 CSL is now offered in San Anselmo, California, with tools, European registration documents, refurbishment photos, a Swedish-language article on the car, a spare set of CSL aluminum door skins, and a clean Utah title.

Exterior blemishes and issues with the exterior lighting are described in a 2022 inspection report that is also provided below.
