This 2001 Ford Mustang GT is #1,560 of 5,582 Bullitt examples produced for the model year and one of 1,819 finished in black. Power is supplied by a 4.6-liter SOHC V8 mated to a TR3650 five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Additional features include a Dark Charcoal leather interior, power-adjustable side mirrors, 17″ painted aluminum wheels, air conditioning, traction control, Bullitt-branded door sill plates, and an AM/FM/CD stereo linked to a Mach 460 sound system. The car was initially delivered to Riverfront Ford in Momence, Illinois, and spent time in multiple states before it was acquired by the seller in February 2021. This Mustang Bullitt has 15k miles and is now offered in New Jersey with a Ford Performance Group Certificate of Authenticity, a window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, spare parts, two keys and fobs, a clean Carfax report, and a clean New Jersey title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in black, and Bullitt exterior appointments include a brushed-aluminum fuel door, Bullitt badging on the rear decklid, molded front mudguards with smooth rocker panels as well as a hood scoop, a black honeycomb grille, and dual exhaust outlets. Paint imperfections, including a scratch on the roof molding, are shown up close in the gallery below.
Gray 17″ aluminum wheels with polished lips wear 245/45 Goodyear Eagle Sport tires showing 2014 date codes, and scrapes are present on the wheels. Bullitt edition cars included disc brakes at all four corners with red-finished calipers, and they sat 3/4″ lower than contemporary Mustang GT examples. The seller notes that the suspension on this example has been additionally lowered, and the car is also equipped with a traction control system.
The articulated front sport seats and a split-folding rear bench are upholstered in Dark Charcoal leather, and they are joined by a color-coordinated dashboard, carpets, and door panels. Amenities include air conditioning, a brushed aluminum shift knob, Bullitt-branded door sill plates and floor mats, sport pedals, and a Mach 460 sound system that is connected to an AM/FM stereo with a six-disc CD changer.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 150-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, voltage, oil pressure, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 15k miles, of which approximately 5k have been added by the seller.
The 4.6-liter V8 is equipped with a cast aluminum intake, twin 57mm bore throttle bodies, high-flow Arvin exhaust mufflers, and optimized alternator pulley and water pump pulley ratios. Power output was rated at 265 horsepower and 305 lb-ft of torque when new.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual TR3650 transmission and a limited-slip differential with 3.27:1 gearing. Corrosion is visible on various underside components, additional photos of which are provided in the gallery.
The window sticker shows initial delivery to Riverfront Ford in Momence, Illinois, along with factory colors, equipment, and a total MSRP of $27,380. The Ford Performance Group Certificate of Authenticity displays a production number of 5,582 and notes that this car is one of 1,819 examples finished in black. A spare grille and a roof molding trim piece are included in the sale along with two keys and fobs.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, and New Jersey. The car most recently passed an emissions inspection in October 2020.
