Beschrijving : [Arrestant geboeid met de z.g. Atjehknoop, wordt achterover getrokken]
Annotatie : V.P.T.L. = Voorschrift voor de uitoefening van de Politiek-Politionele Taak van het Leger (optreden tegen guerillastrijders). Dit voorschrift van het KNIL dateert al uit 1928, verscheen in 1936 en is gewijzigd en aangevuld in 1945 en in 1946 nog een keer uitgegeven, nu speciaal voor de KL. De fotoserie werd gebruikt voor de brochure "Kennis van het V.P.T.L., een kwestie van leven of dood / Mengetahoei akan V.P.T.L., soal hidoep atau mati" [DjK]
