Potsize – 1L
An old, but enduring cultivar first trialled at Wisley in 1928. Large deep golden orange globe flowers on single upright stalks about 2' (60cm) high. The flowers are actually formed by 10-15 incurved and brightly coloured sepals which enclose 5 small frilly true petals with nectaries. In flower from late April through May and requiring a moist position in partial shade, or full sun in wet conditions. Happy in the border if sufficiently moist but reduced in size if too dry and apt to decline if drier still. Perfectly at home along a stream or by a pond edge just above the flooding zone.
