Aconitum Ivorine, commonly known as Monks hood is a herbaceous, bushy, upright perennial with stunning erect racemes of hooded ivory white coloured flowers in spring time through to early summer. With columnar form the Ivorine makes a great addition to the rear of a bed or bed, to add structure.
Aconitum Ivorine Care
This perennial, the Aconitum Ivorine loves sun but will tolerate a partially shaded planting location. Typically pest free. Staking may be required with its tall structure. To prune the Ivorine, cut down old flower stems when the flowering is finished. Finally to propagate the perennial, wear protective gloves throughout and divide in autumn or winter. Sometimes these take a little time to re-establish but are well worth the effort!
