Thalictrum Delavayi commonly known as Chinese Meadow Rue is an upright herbaceous perennial with large, oblong green, divided leaves. In July to September the Thalictrum Delavayi will bloom pretty lilac, open panicles of flowers with cream stamens creating a beautiful sight! Often planted in flower beds and borders and suiting many other locations, garden types and planting schemes making a good all round garden plant.

Plant the Thalictrum Delavayi in a sunny, partially shaded area of the garden with moist, well drained soil where it will thrive. May require staking if the structure needs support. Generally pest free and some pruning makes the Thalictrum a good garden plant for gardeners of all abilities. Simply cut down the stems to ground level after flowering and apply a generous amount of mulch to the base of the plant in spring.
