In what would have been the famous French photographer Willy Ronis' one hundredth year, an exhibition has opened this week in Paris to celebrate his legendary work.

Visitors to the Monnaie de Paris on the Left Bank of the Seine will be able to discover some of the late photographer's most famous works, alongside those known only to Ronis connoisseurs.

When he died in August of last year, Willy Ronis left behind an archive of work spanning over half a century. Using this archive, the organizers of the exhibition have sought to display why Willy Ronis became one of France's most iconic photographers.

Beyond photos documenting Parisian street life, visitors will be able to discover snapshots of life in Eastern Europe, London, and New York. The exhibition opens on Friday and runs until next Thursday.
