Tell Me More...
Vigorously covering bare patches of soil, pretty, low-growing, mounds of foliage form, creating very effective weed-suppressing groundcover which stays all year round, prefect for sheltering wildlife. From June to August, these evergreen cushions become covered with a profusion of small, bright, violet-blue bell-shaped blooms, each held on a short upright stem. A wonderful addition to edge the front of your borders, or planted in a container where it will reach a height of around 15cm and spreading 20-30cm.Known commonly as the Dwarf Bellflower, the rabbit and deer resistant foliage will cascade over the edges of containers or a wall and will even grow in crevices. First introduced by the well-known Birch Farm Nursery in West Sussex, Campanula 'Birch Hybrid' is a fully hardy perennial, not bothered by cold temperatures at all - preferring to be grown in a sunny or partially shaded spot, in well-drained soil.
