Tell Me More...
Splendid in name and in nature, Thalictrum Splendide White is such a wonderful plant, bringing a calming, informal mood to help you relax in your garden. As tall stems sway in the breeze, gently entwining to form an entangled web-like structure, which the bees and butterflies love weaving between. The nectar-rich frothy-looking mauve-purple flowers provide long lasting summer colour above pretty aquilegia-like foliage. Thalictrum Splendide White blooms from June to August, and often into September; quite brilliant as cut flowers for a vase within your home. Thalictrum are said to be named after Thalia, one of the nine Greek patrons of comedy, known as Muses, possibly because of the willowy charm of providing stature while remaining elegant. Attractive to bees and butterflies, deer resistant and excellent cut for arrangements within your home. Thalictrum Splendide White prefers to be gown in moist, well-drained soil in sun or part shade and reach an approximate height of 120cm-180cm and spread of 60-80cm. Thalictrum are fully hardy perennials, meaning they will thrive outside with no winter protection required, for you to enjoy for years to come
