Another Funky Feature of the Week… the Kalopanax Pictus (Castor-aralia Tree).

This tree is having a great bloom this year, covered with clusters of soft round flowers. It is a tall tree, so you have to look up to notice the show, but it’s worth the kink in your neck!

And to add to the interest of this tree, check out the thorns protruding from the bark of its trunk!
