Columbine Nora Barlow is a particular variety of Columbine, commonly known as colombina or anchor. This perennial is prized for its distinctive and attractive flowers. It reaches a height of between 45 and 60 centimetres. The plant has an upright and compact shape. The leaves are green, palmate and divided into segments. The surface of the leaves may be slightly hairy. Nora Barlow flowers are known for their variety of colors, ranging from pink to red, with darker or lighter shades. The flowers are unusual and distinctive, with a bell or lyre appearance. The petals are small and compact, creating a unique shape. Flowering occurs in spring and can continue until early summer. Nora Barlow grows preferably in partially or completely sunny areas. This plant is adaptable to a variety of soil types, but prefers well-drained soil. Nora Barlow is often used for mixed borders or flower beds to add color and visual interest. It can also be grown in planters or pots. It requires good irrigation, but avoiding water stagnation. Light pruning after flowering can encourage more compact growth.
