  • Broadleaf evergreen shrub, 5 ft (1.5 m), forms a dense, round mound.  Leaves glossy, 10 cm long, jade green, retained 3 years, elepidote (without scales).  Flowers rose-pink with a reddish blotch, in conical clusters.

  • Hybridizer: Anthony M. Shammarello (1958), Ohio.  Registration Reference: RHS 58.  A cross of 'Cunningham's White' × red R. catawbiense.
