Dryopteris affinis ‘Pinderi’ – Golden Scaly Male Fern (3.5″ Pot)

Dryopteris affinis ‘Pinderi’ is a tall-growing, upright fern with sharp, narrow, lance-shaped fronds. The common name, Golden Scaly Male Fern, refers to the scaled midribs which are yellow brown in color. The new growth emerges chartreuse in color but will darken to green later in the season.

Ferns thrive in neutral to acidic, loose, richly organic soil. Dwarf Golden Male Fern is excellent for mass plantings, rock gardens, containers, in woodlands, and naturalized landscapes.
