Persicaria vaccinifolia is magnificent this week, dense and vibrant with its forest of pink tinged spikes. Will this season ever end? I think we can cope for a few more weeks.

Now this is a new one on me. Beautiful!
My most recent purchase is Persicaria amplexicaulis ‘Blackfield’. Have you come across this one? It’ s a lovely deep, rich, dark red colour.

Sounds like my kind of colour, I will look out for it. I do like the persicarias although I know some are a little thuggish.
