Travis Scott never knew Amanda Lepore was on ‘Astroworld’ art

After he was accused of transphobia for having Amanda Lepore removed from his album cover, sources close to Travis Scott told TMZ he had no idea she was ever supposed to be on it.

Sources allege that the final version of the rapper’s “Astroworld” album cover was what he received from artist David LaChapelle, and it did not include the shot of trans model Lepore in the area to the left of Scott’s mouth. As a result, Scott’s camp reportedly is claiming ignorance.

As Page Six previously reported, Lepore, a New York nightlife fixture and transgender icon, shared her version of the “Astroworld” cover, which featured her on it.

“It was great being part of [LaChapelle’s] incredible photograph of [Scott’s] album cover but I’m curious why I’m not on the picture [Scott] posted,” she commented.

Many came forward and accused Scott of transphobia, including “RuPaul’s Drag Race” winner Aquaria. “u can tell exactly the mindset and beliefs of (presumably) travis and (specifically) his fans by the repulsive remarks they share about a very valid complaint about the artwork regardless of who’s complaining. Grab a towel. Your phobias are showing.”

Scott is currently dating Kylie Jenner, with whom he also has a child. Jenner’s father is transgender celebrity Caitlyn Jenner.
