Apple Tree (Gravenstein)

This is such a popular apple it has its own fair named after it. Grown commercially in the USA for over 200 years. Soft skin makes this apple difficult to ship but is great for fresh eating from your backyard and also versatile enough to have culinary uses in a classic apple pie or in cobblers. Very resistant to Cedar apple rust! Harvest in late July to August. This tree can grow to 16 feet and prefers half to full day sun. Flowering group 1, would need pollination from different variety flowering groups 1 or 2 to set fruit. Hardy to -30F.
