Jang Dong-gun and wife donate US $100,000
3 Oct – It was revealed that celebrity couple Go So-young and Jang Dong-gun has donated US $100,000 to a charity organisation in celebration of their son Min-joon's first birthday.
According to allkpop website, on 30 September, a representative of the Social Welfare Society revealed, "Jang Dong-gun and Go So-young will be donating US $100,000. We will most likely be using it for the treatment of children and the support of single mothers."
Well-known for their charitable efforts, the couple had also donated the same amount in November last year. Just a month after giving birth to Min-joon, Go So-young was spotted working at an infants' home.
She has also donated diapers for 5,000 newborns through the CJ Donor's Camp in secrecy last June while Jang Dong-gun himself donated US $200,000 to Japan to aid in the recovery of their earthquake.
In November 2009, "All About Eve" actor Jang Dong-gun surprised the country when he went public about his two-year romance with "Love Wind" co-star Go So-young. The two tied the knot on 2 May 2010 at Seoul's Shilla Hotel. Their son was born on 4 October 2010.
