Plant Characteristics :
Habit : Tall perennial aromatic shrub
Habitat & Ecology : , Wild, grows in dry, shady wastelands as well as sun-exposed places in a wide variety of soil and climatic condition.
Occurrence : Found through out the state, more frequently in the sub-Hmalayan tract upto 2400 m.

Status : Frequent
Botanical Character : A tall perennial, shrubby aromatic herb, often forming thickets 2-3 m high, with branches gradually smaller upwards. Leaves alternate, upto 16-17 cm long and broad ; the leaves normally vary from very lobulate, like those of the garden chrysanthemum, to pinnatifidly 2-3-sect, pretty smooth above, woolly and white tomentose underneath; upper leaves smaller, 3-lobed. Flower heads are small, subglobose, yellowish white, solitary or 2-3 together, in terminal and axillary leafy branches. Hermaphrodite florets about ten in the centre, female ones about the same number in the circumference. Fruit oblong-ellipsoid, minute nutlets.
