The Thunderbird (Avis tontrualis) is mythical monster that is considered a supernatural being of power and strength.

History

The Thunderbird is a legendary creature in several native history and cultures found around Godville. In some native history and legends, the Thunderbird is said to control the upper world (or sky). The thunderbird creates not just thunder (with its wing-flapping), but lightning bolts (by flashing its eyes), which it casts at the underworld creatures.

In some other native legends, the thunderbirds were created by Gods for the purpose of fighting the malevolent monsters and spirits. They were also used to punish humans who broke moral rules.

There is another native legend that tell of a great mountain that floats in the western sky on which dwell the thunderbirds. They control the rain and hail and delight in fighting and deeds of greatness.

• Can fly
• Creates thunder by flapping its wings which can disorient heroes or leave lasting ear problems.
• Creates lightning that could roast a hero alive or leave heroes charred black by simply flashing its eyes.
• Can cause lightning bolts from God's intervention to miss.
• Can create thunderstorms to drench hero(ine), leaving them shivering from the cold for long periods of time.
• Sharp talons and beak to tear hero(ine) limb from limb.
• Large body size that can frighten hero(ine) into fleeing at first sight, only the bravest or most favored hero(ine) would dare fight.

Weakness

• It is quite dull.
• Can be distracted with mice, fish or other bird food.
• Hates malevolent monsters and spirits and can leave hero(ine) to go chasing after one.
• Doesn't like staying around for long without thunderstorms, can leave mid-fight due to this.
• It is just a big bird.
