Lincolnshire Pond Plants is a family run nursery in the heart of the Lincolnshire Wolds on old RAF Binbrook. We currently hold over 500,000 pond plants with aquarium plants imported weekly from singapore and malaysia. We show at the RHS shows and supply plants to exhibitors.

Product Description
Bog Plants
Bog and moisture loving plants do not like to be immersed in water, they are more likely to rot over winter if left sat in saturated soil permanently. Generally these plants will not be planted in mesh pond pots. The bog area should not be allowed to dry out. These plants prefer to have their toes in the damp ground not their whole body, preferring to keep the crown of the plant out of the water. Most marginal plants will cope in a bog garden, but a bog plant will not cope in a pond.

Step 1
Decide whether you will be planting a artificial bog garden or a pond extension.

Step 2
Create a reservoir of water for the bog garden, to prevent it drying out. Dig a 15cm deep hole.

Step 3
If building a bog garden attached to a pond, ensure the liner reaches to both the pond and garden.

Step 4
Place holes around the edge approximately 6 cm from the bottom to prevent water logging.

Step 5
Add a stone grit layer to the bog area to create a reservoir. Then add compost for plants to sit on.

Plant conditions
We supply bog plants all year around, most plants can be planted any time of the year. As we supply plants all year sometimes they will arrive in their dormant state at that time of the year which is perfectly normal. All plants are chopped down to ensure they arrive in prime condition.
