Sedum Aizoon Seeds
How to Grow
Sedum has tiny seeds which should be mixed with fine sand for an even sowing. Sow Sedum seeds indoors 6 - 8 weeks before the last frost is expected. Use small pots or flats and sterile starter mix. Pre-moisten the starter mix and sow Sedum Aizoon seeds on the surface. Press the seed into the moistened soil, and do not cover it.
Keep the ground cover seeds moist but not saturated until they germinate. Water from the underside of the pots or use a spray bottle and lightly mist the seeds.
Sowing Rate: 1,000 seeds covers approximately 20 square feet.

Edit #1: The plants have grown nearly 3' tall, which is great, but I've lowered my rating from 3 stars to 2 because from everything I can tell these are not Dragon's Blood. I do believe they are sedum of some sort, but all of my research says that it should either be in a creeping 4" variety (which is what the listing's picture shows), or a 12" variety. I'm quite irritated that I have no idea what is growing, so I have no idea how to care for it.
Original: I'm new to gardening and, after a bunch of research, wanted to try planting Dragon's Blood Sedum ground cover. I found pictures of the bush-like plants with pink flowers, as well as the ones that appear to have succulent-type leaves and red spiky flowers. I purchased this listing because it advertises the latter, and I was hoping to just get a ground cover that would spread and take over our backyard patch of dirt.
I've checked the listing and package multiple times to make sure I'm not missing anything. What we have is definitely not the ground cover type. It's growing wonderfully (takes 4-6 weeks to grow. Ours started coming up exactly at 4 weeks. The left side is weaker but the tree stump over there is a menace with massive roots that constantly attempt to regrow; we think it's keeping nutrients away from the seedlings). So I'm torn as to how to rate my review. What we have is growing wonderfully, but it's not what the listing says it is.
Sidenote: Everyone complains that the seeds are borderline microscopic. Yes... That's just how they are. My partner and I planted a pinch full every 10", and then opted to sprinkle the rest throughout haphazardly. Some seeds are just small.
