Growing 1-3' tall, the small white flowers are in a flat topped formation and sit atop sturdy stems with lacy, fernlike foliage. Drought tolerant, White Yarrow prefers well-draining soil in full sun, though will tolerate some shade. I make a mix of yarrow, grass, and clover to seed bare areas in my yard. I only put an 8th of the mix as yarrow, and need to do even less in the future, because it germinates so well!

It's our second spring on this property and what I have figured out is that the ground REALLY SUCKS!
I want to apologize to the sellers of this seed for my bad review.

I really can't give it a great review because I do not know how the seed does in reasonable soil. A little has come up here and there, and is doing what it should do. SPREADING, YAY!

But its gonna take a long time to fill up 1/3 acre with only 2 or 3 clumps to start with!

Best price. do not be afraid to try. Yarrow cam make a beautiful unconventional lawn with no watering ( at least in the northwest). Let some go to seed in the fall and gather the browning flowers in a paper bag. put them somewhere dry with a little sun in the fall. crumple and toss. TA-DA, more yarrow in the spring!

I have learned with clover seed that if I mix seed with fine soil and put the mix down in the "no grow" patches it will work. at least it seems to be working so far this year.
Hope to try it again with yarrow.
