Geena Davis is taking a look back.
The “Thelma & Louise” star, 66, has a memoir entitled “Dying of Politeness” hitting shelves on Oct. 11 and within the pages she revisits a number of life altering events. These include a whirlwind romance with actor Jeff Goldblum, 69.
Davis met Goldblum while the two were filming the 1985 movie “Transylvania 6-5000.” Davis had just divorced form her first husband a year before and Goldblum was coming out of a marriage as well.
“[Our relationship] was joyful. It really was. That was a magical chapter in my life,” Davis told PEOPLE.
The duo would act opposite each other once again in David Cronenberg’s 1986 remake of “The Fly.”

“Right away we got to work with each other on an incredible project,” Davis recalled. “And we were so passionate about that project and we loved working on it.”
Following that film the two married and then appeared together once again in the 1988 movie “Earth Girls Are Easy.”
Davis and Goldblum would eventually divorce in 1990 but she remembers their time together fondly. “It was great,” she said.
