Soap-star Gemma gained nationwide recognition as Hollyoaks’ character Lisa Hunter and soon she’ll be getting into character, beneath the Strictly glitterball.

Nominated as ‘Best Newcomer’ at the 2016 National Television Awards for her role in Emmerdale, her pathway to success has included appearances in The Bill, Waterloo Road, Casualty and West End production - Calendar Girls.
As well as TV stints, Gemma has also starred in a number of films, including a comedy where she played an obsessive, controlling girlfriend… Let’s just hope her partner doesn’t get too under the thumb!

The Strictly routines shouldn’t be too exhausting for gym-buff Gemma, she works out six times a week and is a dab hand at kick boxing. Time will tell if her love for fitness will remain when her moves are put to the test on the dancefloor!
