The Yamaha SRX600 is a cult classic, but it started as a commercial flop. In the US, it sold for just one year, and it was during a time when American riders valued power above everything else. A relatively light weight bike with a 41 horsepower motor just didn’t cut it – but for riders who can appreciate the styling, handling, and the nostalgia of having to kick over the 595cc single motor, the SRX is a rare, interesting classic.
In this case, maybe you don’t have to worry about “kick” starting, per se. The seller includes a video of a mechanic getting this bike started with his hand:
Basic stats of the SRX include 41 horsepower, a top speed of 106 miles per hour, and a wet weight of 387 pounds. This example is said to be in good overall condition with approximately 26,000 miles. Everything is said to work and there’s no leaks, but there is a dent in the left side of the tank.
