A clump forming, medium sized bamboo, Fargesia rufa has colourful orange-red sheaths and narrow blue-green leaves. Makes a spectacular garden plant and can also be grown well in a large container or pot if required.

Position: Full sun or partial shade.
Soil: Moist or well drained, fertile soil.
Hardiness: Hardy.
Rate of Growth: Moderate to vigorous.
Habit: Fargesia rufa is a medium sized, clump forming bamboo.
