Abundant colourful little flowers generally about an inch across on spreading shrubs for a hot sunny spot.

Genus of about 110 species of evergreen or semi-evergreen shrubs occurring in alpine meadows or open scrub in North and South America, Asia, Europe and, North Africa, particularly around the Mediterranean.
