Digital View develops controller & driver boards to support E Ink panels in display projects for applications such as transport, public signage and retail.
As shown in a diagram after the table below, the Digital View driver boards are what is used to write images to the E Ink panel. The Media Board can be a PC type device including low cost boards like a Raspberry Pi, or a dedicated board such as Digital View's STM-100 which is designed to minimize power.

A typical E Ink based display system for public signage or retail is likely to include the following:
• E Ink panel
• Digital Viuew driver board
• Media board or PC
• Communications for content update & monitoring
• Power source, ie grid, solar, battery
In addition a system may include:
• Sensors, temperature, humidity, ambient light etc
• Cover glass to protect the panel
• Software to manage the image update
• Enclosure
