When I opened the package from Gitsy my breath was taken away by the spiritual depth and beauty of the wonderful icon I received. The photo on the Etsy site doesn't even begin to do justice to the profundity of the work of sacred art they have created for me. It has obviously been 'written' by an iconographer of deep prayerfulness, and living awareness of the beauty and mystery of Our Lord, which the icon so powerfully communicates. Simply to look at the icon is to be drawn into prayer, and into a place of intimacy with, and reverence before, the mysterious beauty and holy Presence of the Living Lord. Over the past year I have enriched my prayer life with so many beautiful icons, but the spiritual beauty of this one is beyond compare.
