More information

Camellia Japonica, also known as the Japanese rose, is a must-have for any garden. The plant is native to China, Japan and Vietnam, where it grows high in the mountains. The Camellia Japonica Brushfield’s Yellow blooms as early as the end of winter, namely between February and April, making it the perfect plant to welcome spring into your garden with. The Camellia Brushfield’s Yellow has beautiful white flowers, which is quite rare for a Camellia, with a yellow centre. The Camellia has many buds, so it guarantees a colour explosion in the early spring garden. The Camellia will also bring colour to your winter garden, as it retains its foliage all year round. This makes it one of the best flowering plants for the northern European climate. The plant is delivered with a height of 50-60cm (measured including pot).

Care
A Camellia prefers a slightly acidic soil, preferably rich in humus. In summer it is important to keep the soil around the plant well moist. The plant prefers semi-shade. Eventually the plant will grow into a large shrub, but several plants can also be put together to make one large shrub. Furthermore, the Camellia does not grow quickly, usually about 15-20 cm per year. Therefore, especially in the beginning, it is not necessary to prune the plant regularly. However, it is important to remove spent branches and spent flowers.

Size
The plants have a height of 50-60cm upon delivery, measured including the nursery pot. The plants are supplied in a nursery pot with a diameter of 15cm.
