More information

Camellia Japonica Dr King, also known as the Japanese rose, is a must-have for any garden. The plant is native to China, Japan and Vietnam, where it grows high in the mountains. The Camellia Dr. King blooms as early as the end of winter, namely between January and April, making it the perfect plant to welcome spring into your garden. The plant has beautiful pink or red flowers with a yellow centre and with its many buds it guarantees a colour explosion in the early spring garden. The plant also brings colour to the garden in winter, as it retains its foliage all year round. This makes it one of the best flowering plants for the northern European climate. The plant is delivered with a height of 50-60cm (measured including pot).

Care
A Camellia prefers a slightly acidic soil, preferably rich in humus. During the summer it is important to keep the soil around the plant well moist. The plant prefers to be in partial shade. Eventually the plant will grow into a large shrub, but several plants can also be put together to make one large shrub. Furthermore, the Camellia does not grow quickly, usually about 15-20 cm per year. Therefore, especially in the beginning, it is not necessary to prune the plant regularly. However, it is important to remove spent branches and spent flowers.

Size
The plant has a height of 50-60cm upon delivery, measured including the nursery pot. The plant is supplied in a nursery pot with a diameter of 15cm.
