A celebrity autograph collector accused rock musician Josh Homme of screaming profanities at him and grabbing him in a lawsuit filed Monday.

Guitarist Josh Homme performs with Iggy Pop at the Fox Theatre on Thursday, April 7, 2016, in Detroit.

Jason Leckrone is the plaintiff in the lawsuit filed in Wayne County Circuit Court against Homme, the artist best known for his work with Queens of the Stone Age and several others, including TMZ.com.

The lawsuit said an April 2016 incident was recorded by a person outside an after party in Detroit and video was later posted on TMZ.com with an article indicating "plaintiff was involved in a ‘nasty name-calling exchange’ " with Homme.

Leckrone, who is identified as a school teacher in the court document, said the accusation that he was engaged in “name-calling” isn't true and placed him in a false light.

Homme was in Detroit at the time as part of the band backing Iggy Pop at the Fox Theatre.

A representative with Homme’s record label couldn’t immediately be reached for comment Tuesday. A spokesperson for TMZ also could not be reached by the Free Press.

An article on TMZ’s website dated April 11 said: “We're told Homme thought the guy was just trying to sell autographed memorabilia, and wasn't a real fan.”

According to the suit, Leckrone went to the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit (MOCAD) to try to get an autograph from Iggy Pop but was unable to obtain it.

“A short time later, defendant Homme arrived and confronted autograph seekers and said something to (the) effect of — I am not signing autographs for you blood-sucking eBayers, I am tired of you making money off me but I will take photos with you,” the court document said.

It went on to say Leckrone said Homme benefited from these types of people who attended the concert.

The lawsuit alleges Homme “communicated intentional and unlawful threats of imminent bodily harm to plaintiff, placing plaintiff in well-founded fears of imminent peril.”

It also said Homme grabbed Leckrone around the shoulders and neck area.

Leckrone said as a result of the artist’s alleged actions, he suffered “emotional distress, embarrassment, humiliation and psychological injuries.”

Leckrone’s attorney, Greg Wix, said: "the video pretty much speaks for itself."

The lawsuit seeks more than $25,000, and a status conference is scheduled June 19.
