Zagato Perana Z-One enters production

Concept to production journey has taken two years

Remember the sexy Perana Z-One (Zee-One) concept that Zagato unveiled at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show? Well, Zagato has kept their promise of putting the beauty into production. PistonHeads is reporting that the sports car is being produced as you read this and deliveries are set to commence soon in UK.

The Zagato Perana Z-One is powered by a 6.2-litre all aluminium V8 which puts out 445 PS of power and 583 Nm of torque. The package includes a 6-speed transmission and a ZF limited slip differential. The entire setup sits in a F/M-R configuration (front-mid engine, rear wheel drive) and manages to sprint from 0-100 km/h in less than 4 seconds. 

The Perana Performance Group will only produce 999 examples of the Z-One every year with prices expected to be a little over £ 50,000 (Rs. 40-lakh approx. without taxes). With a bandwagon of sports and supercars entering the country, we won’t be surprised to see Zagato-Perana come to India too. But for now, if you want one, you need to import the Z-One privately from UK.
