Montagne de Bueren, Liège, Belgium

About

So, it turned out that the stories are true. There is a 374-step staircase in Liège, Belgium and it's well worth a visit. The stairs are named after Vincent de Bueren to commemorate his defence of Liège against an attack by the Duke of Burgundy in the 15th century. The steps were built in 1881 in honour of the 600 brave soldiers who lost their lives in the battle.

I saw quite a few signs in some of the windows asking tourists to not make excessive noise and respect the local residents. I wonder if you can still order a Domino's pizza if you live there?
