Help us tell the story of D-Day

Staff Writer
The Daytona Beach News-Journal
American soldiers land on the French coast in Normandy during the D-Day invasion on June 6, 1944.

June 6 is the 70th anniversary of D-Day, when Allied forces battled their way onto the beaches of Normandy, France, and began the push through Europe that led to the defeat of Adolf Hitler’s Germany in World War II.

Thousands of Americans lost their lives in the D-Day battle, and thousands more were wounded in the fighting.

In remembrance of D-Day, The News-Journal wants to tell the stories of the brave individuals who took part.

If you played a role in D-Day, or if you have a relative in the area who participated in the invasion, contact Deputy Managing Editor Cal Massey at cal.massey@news-jrnl.com.

Or, call Massey at 386-681-2468.

Thank you in advance for helping us tell your D-Day story.
