Description
Flowers: July-November. Plant in sun or light shade. HxS 45x60cm
A Scottish selection, shorter in habit than some other cultivars, which makes this Persicaria ideal for the smaller garden or for a small pond or water feature. The leaves are narrow and the dark red flowers are held well clear of the foliage. It starts flowering in early July and can continue into November, so extends the season in the garden. Easy to grow, and best in a moist soil in sun. An excellent waterside plant and a good pollinator for bees and lacewings. Pot size 1.5 litre.
Care & Maintenance.
Persicaria need very little attention. Simply cut all foliage down to the ground in winter or early spring. Propagate by division or seed, although be aware that seed will not come true.

Healthy but small arriving in April 2021. It had a few flowers in later summer. Possibly a bit overshadowed but it soldiered on. It’s sprouting now in March.
