Product Details

Height: This evergreen shrub can grow to 3 ft. tall.

Habitat: Grows best in moist to wet soil in full to part sun area.

Foliage: Alternate, thick, leathery, lance to oval shaped fragrant leaves curl slightly bottom side has orange hairs.

Flowers: Clusters of small, five petal, white flowers form at the end of branches. Blooms June through August.

Bark: Reddish brown smooth bark that can be slightly cracked. There are hairs along the branches.

Natural Habitat: Found in swamps and bogs.

Why is it good for my garden? This evergreen shrub is know for its fragrance and tea use. Toxic to livestock so do not plant in pastures with cows or sheep.
