Hosta Shade Fanfare will form an erect, medium sized mound of about 20"-30" in height, with a spread of up to 40", at maturity. It features an upright mound of heart-shaped, flat, chartreuse leaves with yellowish white (creamy) margins and racemes of funnel-shaped, lavender flowers on 30" scapes. A dependable and versatile perennial requiring little care. Grown primarily for its beautiful foliage which provides colour, contrast and texture to the landscape. This cultivar, a sport of Hosta Flambouyant, needs more sun than most to bring out best foliage colour. Dense foliage crowds out most garden weeds. A vigorous grower. Sun tolerant but not generally known as slug resistant but holds up well if kept healthy.
