Among the famous BFFs in Hollywood, no two people can replicate the bond that Salma Hayek and Penélope Cruz share. The leading ladies have been pals for years, supporting one another as their careers have grown and through every chapter of life away from the cameras. Yesterday, Hayek shared one of the most touching messages of support to her pal, and it has to be one of our fave BFF moments of the day.
Hayek and actress Kristen Stewart hosted a luncheon on Dec. 14 honoring Cruz’s recent performance in the film Ferrari. At the event, Cruz and Hayek posed for a series of photos with each other and various attendees. But the best moment came when Hayek shared candid photos from the event on the ‘Gram, adding a touching, heartfelt message dedicated to her friend.
“I’m so proud of you, my brilliant friend, for your outstanding performance in FERRARI. Your talent will never fail to amaze me,” Hayek’s caption read. “Here’s to you, my friend.” She also added the emoji featuring two champagne glasses sharing a cheers.
Even though Cruz and Hayek have only starred in one film together — 2006’s Bandidas — they’ve always been so supportive of one another. Whether they’re hitting a red carpet, or attending a high-profile event, Hayek and Cruz are always showing up for one another. We’re obsessed with their friendship and cannot wait to watch it continue to grow.
