Plantain Sedge - Carex plantaginea

Carex plantaginea, also known as Plantain Leaf Sedge, is a perennial sedge native to Michigan and the UP.  This is a bright evergreen sedge with broad leaves that form nice clumps, good for texture and color in woodland gardens.
Plant reaches 1 foot tall and thrives and blooms in cool weather.
It prefers partial sun to full shade, medium to dry soil and will grow in clay, loam or sand.
