Lusitanos d'Atela - Bessa de Carvalho stud was founded in 1988 by Francisco Bessa de Carvalho.
We offer two distinct programmes:
- Horse riding at Quinta do Paul D'Atela and surroundings, in Alpiarça, where you can enjoy the bucolic landscape of Ribatejo. The tours include a visit to Barragem dos Patudos (a dam in the area). Visit to the Stud Farm: we propose a visit to our stud farm In Alpiarça, where you can observe horses in their natural habitat and make contact with the daily activities of a breeding farm.
- Riding lessons at Quinta da Fonte Santa, in Caneças (Odivelas), 12 km out of Lisbon, where the Equestrian Centre is located. It is also here that the horses of Bessa de Carvalho stud are trained.
